This is a Whole School Calculation Policy. For departments who use mathematics within their subject areas but are not maths specialists, this provides an overview of key areas to consider within each topic as well as links to video clips demonstrating the teaching methods which may be used in maths lessons to teach the content.
The topic areas discussed are those identified by Heads of Department in my school as areas they teach in their subject areas.
This folder includes 2 versions of the Powerpoint (with links embedded so that all pages are easily found). The first just includes the topic information and video links. The second includes an overview after each slide to suggest when HPA, MPA and LPA students are likely to first be introduced to the topic (these timings are based on the Kangaroo Maths scheme of work, but are likely in line with whichever SOW you follow).
