This is a 15-20 minute assembly, PSHE or tutor time session covering what the Prevent strategy is. It includes some videos and discussion points around Prevent and information about how to spot signs of radicalisation. This was originally delivered to KS3 and KS4 but could also be suitable for KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). There are no written tasks in this presentation, it is an overview of these topics in line with the PSHE and Citizenship curriculum, SMSC and Fundamental British Values. It could also be used in an assembly or whole school setting as a quick reminder of Prevent and Radicalisation. It can be lengthened or shortened depending on the timing of the session. The videos are downloaded so will never disappear. Students reacted well to this session and some important and interesting discussions were had.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about positive language. It covers the important topic of being positive, watching what language we use to communicate to others and using positive language online. It was used as an assembly for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12). It covers: Why it is so important to show positive language in school The power of words Important quotes and two downloaded videos that will never disappear How we can show positive language What situations we need to show positive language How we can support cyberbullying Code of conduct Reflection slide with thinking questions and positive quotes There is a slide for you to add your Pupil Code of Conduct or behaviour policy or you can delete this slide if you prefer. The session is all narrated but this can easily be changed by deleting the icon on each slide. This fits into the new RSE & Health Curriculum, PSHE & Citizenship, tutor time, whole school activity or a whole school assembly with links to SMSC, Character Education and Fundamental British Values. It is suitable for an assembly or tutor time session for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and was originally a Year 8 PSHE session which was recieved well by the students. This is a 10-15 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE or Safeguarding session which is fully narrated and designed for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It outlines: What peer on peer abuse / child to child abuse is Why stopping it is so important How students can access help and support The 9 protected characteristics of the Equality Act How peer on peer / child to child abuse affects someone Signs of a negative relationship Pupil code of conduct How pupils can show positivity at school and form positive relationships Definition of peer pressure and the need to create an equal community There are discussion questions and quotes to aid discussion and these can be turned into written activities if you want to make this session last a whole lesson. There are two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and it is narrated although you can delete this by just deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer. This session contributes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the new Relationships & Sexual Education and Health Education. It also highlights safeguarding, British values and can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be adapted if needed but covers all the necessary guidance. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.

This was originally a PSHE tutor time 15 minute session on Character Education and how to be a have a good character for KS2, KS3 or KS4 (Years 5-13, Ages 9-18). It can be shortened to 10 minutes or lengthened to 25 with discussion activities. There are no written activities in this powerpoint, just discussion tasks, a video that is downloaded so will never disappear and information for students to think about and discuss. This follows the Character Education guidance released by the DfE and the new Relationships & Sex & Health Education Curriculum in 2020. Students responded well to this session.

This is a 10-15 minute tutor time resource about British Values. It could be used for an assembly or PSHE/Citizenship/FBV/SMSC session. It explains what the five British values are, how these should be implemented, a discussion about universal values, a focus on the first two values. - Democracy and the Rule of Law. There are many discussion tasks and these could be written tasks if you wanted to lengthen it to a whole lesson. There are three short videos that are downloaded so will never disappear. This was originally an assembly for KS3-KS5 but can also be used as a tutor time session for KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 and is suitable for all year groups (Ages 8-18, Years 4-13). This gives a great overview of British Values and has been positively received by many students.

This session is suitable for a tutor time session, assembly or 60 minute lesson introducing PSHE. It also has a short downloaded video about its importance and then discusses the skills learnt and its importance to their lives. It also sets out some guidelines and has an activity to produce their own as a class. This is most suitable for a 10-15 minute tutor time session at the start of a year or to start your PSHE lessons off with the activity to creatively present the ground rules of the class on a tutor notice board or as a competition. This is a 10-20 minute assembly about the importance of sleep suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It contains two short video clips that are downloaded so they will never disappear. This session covers: Why sleep is important What sleep deprivation is What happens to your brain and body if you don’t have enough sleep How much sleep a teenager needs How could a lack of sleep affect you at school NHS tips on how to get a good night’s sleep A true and false quiz to check learning and understanding. This fits into the new Relationships and Health Education curriculum and can be easily lengthened to last for a whole lesson if needed. It was originally a Year 7 tutor time PSHE session but can be used for any secondary school year group as an assembly.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about online safety. It covers why students need to stay safe online, what the risks are and how to get help if needed. It also covers what particular things to be careful of e.g. address etc. It includes discussion activities and no written tasks. It fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time session or assembly. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 7 but it is suitable for any class at KS3 (Years 7-9 Ages 11-14). It includes two downloaded video clips so they will never disappear.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time resource about perseverance to motivate students of all ages. It explores what perseverance means and how it can be shown in school and in life. This is an assembly on organisation and routine. It could be used in tutor time or as part of a PSHE or Citizenship lesson to explain the importance of being organised at school and having a good routine. This is a comprehensive list of hundreds of relevant awareness days for a primary or secondary school. It maps the entire academic year and includes over 400 different dates and days. This is useful for pastoral leaders, PSHE leads, SLT or anyone that is putting together an assembly rota, bulletin, calendar or diary for the academic year starting September 2023. It includes cultural, religious, personal, health and social awareness days and has been triple checked for accuracy. I have pulled together all of the dates so you won’t find a more comprehensive diary anywhere. This will be a document that is updated as more dates are added next year or there are any changes.
