Rocks and Minerals: Trivia Board Game This board game focuses on the science surrounding Rocks & Minerals of the Earth(Minerals, elements, compounds, crystals, silicates, luster, streak, cleavage, fracture, hardness, density, magnetism,surface mining, metallic minerals, gemstones, rocks, rock cycle, erosion, deposition, metamorphic, sedimentary, igneous, magma, composition, texture, intrusive, extrusive strata, clastic, chemical sedimentary, stratification, organic, contact, regional metamorphism, etc.) and the scientific method. After seeing the popularity of our Volcano Escape Room, we have decided to release an abbreviated version. There are times where the full version of the escape rooms are too involved for the amount of time allotted. This Volcanoes Mini-Escape Room allows the teacher to use a break out box as a bell ringer activity. You will also be able to see the power of an escape room in producing teachable moments within your classroom. This is a brand new Mini-Photosynthesis Escape Room totally immersive product from the STEM Center that promotes cooperative learning! We have developed a comprehensive 1 tier, Volcanoes themed Escape Room Break Out Box Activity. The Escape Room centers around the fundamental vocabulary found within a unit focused on Photosynthesis. We have found a way to make learning FUN! Students are given a 20 word puzzle that will lead to unlocking a lock box that contains their group’s set of color coded clues. THIS IS A VERSION OF THE 1st PUZZLE FOUND IN OUR FULL SYSTEM. The escape room can be run several different ways. The cheapest and easiest method is to use a manila envelope for the puzzle. Use this with your entire class as review to get all of your students to participate. -35 different "I Have" statements -35 different "Who Has" statements Directions for Use: 1. Print out all of the cards. 2. Cut out each of the 35 cards. 3. Give each student in your class 1 card. 4. Any student may start the activity by asking their “who has” portion of the card. 5. The students will then assess whether they have the answer to the “who has”. 6. Because we have included 35 cards, the teacher may have to answer for the extra cards. (The teacher may opt to simply remove some cards from the activity.)
