STEM Posters for the Classroom includes 12 posters. (Plus, a black and white copy of each one.) Each poster prints in a 8.5x11 size standard sheet of paper. 1 Poster has the STEM acronym and kid pictures that match science, technology, engineering, and math students. There are also the 7 engineering design process words that are in a cute rhyming verse. 4 Posters include a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics topic. Each picture includes 4 words that describe each STEM job. 7 Posters include the engineering design process. Each poster lists a process and 2 or 3 questions about what the student should be thinking when they ask, imagine, plan, create, test, improve, and communicate. Check out the preview for a better look at the 12 posters. Hang these posters in your room to help students remember and think about the process as they solve problems in the classroom. I also made the clip art myself. These are original!

Bar Graph Task Cards includes 20 task cards. Students use the data from the bar graph to answer 4 questions about it. There are a variety of questions on each task card. Each question has 4 multiple chose answers. 10 task cards are vertical and 10 are horizontal bar graphs. Some of the vertical task cards count by 2’s or 5’s which will make it more challenging for students. The rest of the task cards scales are set to count by 1’s. Use a recording sheet and task cards at a math center or for early finishers.

hese posters will surely grab your students’ attention. There are a total of 30 posters. (Plus, a black and white copy of each one.) Each poster prints in a 8.5x11 size standard sheet of paper. Each poster has a saying that the teacher would say to grab their students attention. It also includes a student saying a response to the teacher. These are great visuals when the class is off task and you need their attention quickly. I have a few of these that I say all the time. I also created a few of my own that are not found anywhere else. I also made the clip art! These posters are original!! Hang these posters in your room to help students remember what they need to say when you’re trying to grab their attention.

Simple Word Problem Worksheets Using Addition and Subtraction Facts 1-10 includes 30 worksheets. These worksheets include 30 very simple word problems using facts 1-10. These word problems are for beginning readers AND beginning problem solvers. Each word problem is on a half-sheet of paper. There are 15 addition and 15 subtraction word problems. Students use the work space to draw a picture to help them solve the problem. Students will write an equation for each problem. The boxes are for the plus or minus sign and the equal sign. Students also write the answer to the word problem. The answer is already labeled for them. Use these half-sheets for a math or morning work warm-up exercise, during your small group time, for your lesson on word problems, or send home for homework.

It will also be helpful when someone else has edited them and they’ll know what to change in their writing from the marks given. There are also some friendly reminders at the bottom of the sheet for students to check their work. You can also copy and place this page in the students’ writing folders. Students can pull this out the next time they need to edit a paper or make corrections using the symbols. Base Words Worksheets will help teach students about base words. These worksheets will help students notice what happens when they add prefixes and suffixes (affixes) to base words. The spelling of some base words will change and so will its meaning. The prefixes used in this pack include: un, re, dis, non, mis, pre The suffixes used in this pack include: ness, less, ed, ly, ing, s, ful, able, er, and est The 30 worksheets include these 30 base words: agree, appear, believe, build, care, clean, color, comfort, connect, cover, forgive, happy, harm, help, hope, like, love, move, open, organize, pack, place, play, power, read, stop, test, turn, use, write, and view. Each worksheet displays a base word and the affixes that can be added to the base word to make new words. Students make as many new words as they can using the prefixes and suffixes listed. The worksheets extent to separating the new words they made according to the spelling rule or by segmenting the new words apart by prefix, base word, and suffix. The worksheets also have students writing the definition of the new word or they write a sentence that displays the meaning on the new word. For example: If using the base word, CARE, students can make new words like caring, careful, uncaring, and so on. They can also see how two suffixes can be added to the base word like, carelessness and carefully. Students need to be careful when adding affixes to base words. Some affixes will not make sense when added to the base word. For example; discare or carely. This is a good time to talk about nonsense words. Use these worksheets for continued practice at a reading center. As students become more proficient, they will be able to work independently. You can also send these worksheets home for homework or to check understanding as an assessment. This pack includes 30 worksheets and a poster listing the prefixes and suffixes used in this pack.

I took the 60 task cards and mixed them up to make 6 links for self-grading quizzes. Each link or quiz, has 10 questions. There are 2 quizzes with addition facts only, 2 quizzes with subtraction facts only, and 2 quizzes with addition and subtraction mixed together. Copy the links into your Google Classroom and assign students the links.
