Alex and The Horne Section

Alex is also the creator and frontman of The Horne Section, a six-piece band of multitalented musicians. The Horne Section played to sold-out audiences for five consecutive years at the Edinburgh Fringe and continued for three series as a BBC Radio 4 show. This led to The Horne Section Podcast, which reached number one in the iTunes charts on the first day of its release and has featured guests including Al Murray, Katherine Ryan and Tim Vine.

After a successful first season, series two of The Horne Section TV Show has been filmed for release by Channel 4. This follows the band’s establishment as firm favourites on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer and Crouchy’s Year-Late Euros, starring alongside some of the biggest names in music and sport. They have also appeared on The Last Leg (Channel 4) and are the only band to have hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks

In 2018, they recorded their one-off special The Horne Section Television Programme at the London Palladium, which was later broadcast on Dave. The band’s additional credits include The Horne Section’s Christmas, a “deliciously blasphemous delight” (Chortle) for Sky Arts, and The John Bishop Show.

In 2021 the band completed a tour of the nation with their biggest show to date: That’s How I Like My Tour. They are currently back on tour bringing their new show The Horne Section’s Hit Show to theatres across the UK.
