About Abraham Lincoln School
The Abraham Lincoln School is a private school owned by Central Romana Corporation which operates one of the world’s largest privately owned sugar-mills as well as the luxurious hotel complex of Casa de Campo.
The majority of the school’s 460 students have Spanish as their first language. There are 36 teachers, 25 of whom are British. The curriculum is taught in English and is based on the British National Curriculum. In the Secondary School, the curriculum followed is that of the I.G.C.S.E. The school enjoys outstanding resources. As well as having all air-conditioned classrooms, there is a spacious school hall with stage, a library with over 20,000 books, 28 classrooms, 3 science laboratories, 2 computer rooms, an art room, a ceramics room with kiln, a music room, a staff room, 2 playground areas, a baseball field, a soccer field and a volleyball/basketball court.
The academic year starts on September 1st and ends in mid June.
