Carmel College is a Catholic sixth form college that has an inclusive, thriving community. Personal qualities are highly valued and each student has the opportunity to reach their absolute potential.

In 2019, the college was rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ and continues to provide excellence in teaching and learning to maintain these high standards. Exam results in August 2024 placed Carmel as: one of the top 3 sixth form colleges in the country; the top performing college in the North of England; and the top A Level provider in St Helens. (The Times % A*/A*-B grades (16/08/24).

Camel offers over 40 Level 3 courses including A Levels, BTECs and T Levels. We also deliver Foundation Learning courses and a range of Year-Zero degree courses in partnership with The University of Liverpool.

Our students are given every opportunity to progress, achieve and develop skills for the future. We provide outstanding academic and pastoral support as well as activities and opportunities through our Enrichment and High Achievers+ Programmes.
