About The Gregg School
The Gregg School is a mixed, independent, non-denominational, secondary day school, situated in Southampton, Hampshire. The school, which is set in 23 acres of private landscaped grounds, has approximately 320 pupils aged 11-16 on its roll.
The Gregg School was founded in 1901 and is a member of both the Independent Schools Association and the Independent Schools Council. The Trust and Board of Governors jointly govern the preparatory St Winifred's School and The Gregg School.

Values and vision
The Gregg School’s vision is for students to be: engaged with learning and the life of the school, intellectually curious, aspiring, ambitious, pro-active and ready to participate. Young people are encouraged to: take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour; demonstrate respect, compassion and tolerance for others; show independence in and control over their learning; be autonomous, accountable, evaluative and resourceful as an individual. Teachers want to produce emotionally intelligent young people who display maturity in all relationships.

Pupils’ achievement in curricular and extra-curricular activities is at least good and often excellent. The pupils’ personal development is excellent. It is nurtured by the caring, respectful relationships and strong sense of community within the school and fulfils the aims of the school. The governance of the school is excellent.”
