About The Milton Keynes Academy
The Milton Keynes Academy is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school for students aged 11-18. We are a member of the Creative Education Trust, a charity and multi-academy trust with a network of non-selective primary and secondary state schools. Together, we work to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and creativity they need to succeed in school and in life.
Our proactive approach to developing positive outcomes for our students has been recognised by Ofsted. In January 2023, Ofsted recognised our potential to continue our journey towards a ‘good’ school. We believe that our academy exists for its children and for our community. Our ethos of high expectations emphasises traditional core values of Respect,Responibily,Aspirations, Resilence,Equality.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced supporting students to achieve in both academic and vocational qualifications. Teachers are committed, talented and passionate about delivering an engaging education. The school day starts at 8:40am and formal lessons end at 3:25pm. Beyond the classroom, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
The Milton Keynes Academy is architecturally inspiring, boasting truly outstanding facilities and cutting edge resources. In 2018, a significant financial investment has provided a spacious restaurant, a further suite of science laboratories and a gym.

‘Being part of the pastoral team here at The Milton Keynes Academy has been pivotal in allowing me to build strong bonds with many of our students. In turn this has enabled me to improve my communication skills and enhanced my problem-solving abilities to create solutions for the students in a proactive and friendly manner. Leading the Year 8 football team has also been a wonderful experience, further developing and inspiring the students to become positive role models. Through this opportunity I have been able to build strong rapports with the team and the staff that also support me in the process, this is crucial in a school environment.’
