About the role
37 hours per week - term time only, 39 weeks, permanent
- Provide general clerical support including clerical processes, word processing, IT based tasks including data input, requiring knowledge of various ICT packages and operation of office equipment
- Undertake general financial administration such as processing orders, collecting monies and undertake basic bookkeeping, such as for petty cash
- Undertake reception duties, act as first point of contact in response to and deal with enquiries either by telephone or face-to-face, deal with lost property etc.
- Responsible for the signing in and vetting of all visitors, contractors and Trust staff, following all current DBS and ID checks at the relevant point in time. Issuing the appropriate lanyard and pass depending on the level of clearance of the visitor.
- Produce lists, information and data as requested by senior staff or external agencies.
- Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
- Maintaining the general enquires inbox passing on to the relevant persons.
- First point of contact for sick pupils, liaise with parents / carers /staff
- Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and post outgoing mail
- Assist with arrangements for academy visits and events
- Maintain stocks and supplies, selling and distributing as required
- Provide administrative support for meetings and take notes at meetings
- Proven experience as an office assistant or in another relevant administrative role with a good understanding of office procedures.

Who we are looking for
- Educated to NVQ level 2 / GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Proven experience as an office assistant or in another relevant administrative role with a good understanding of office procedures.
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Experience of working within a face-paced environment with skill.
- Be flexible in your duties to the demands of the office/academy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Provide information and guidance to colleagues and service users within defined guidelines
- Establish and maintain effective and constructive relationships with pupils, parents and carers, communicating with them as appropriate to share information.
- Committed to promoting the welfare of all children and creating a safe environment in which children can learn; considering, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.

The trust has made a strong contribution to improving the school’s facilities, strengthening its leadership and improving the quality of teaching. Pupils’ achievement has improved since the last inspection, especially in English, mathematics and science. Pupils made good progress in these subjects last year.
