The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) is a school-led development trust that spotlights the best ways to develop the nation’s educators - from initial teacher training, through to system leadership. This is an exciting time to join the team and to be part of a fast-growing, developing organisation.

Due to our rapid growth, we are looking for an organised and proactive ITE Admissions Coordinator to support with the coordination of our admissions which will include responding to expressions of interest and converting these to applications, screening applications and managing aspects of interview coordination and administration.

About The Role

To succeed, you’ll be a seasoned administrator, with the skills and experience to hit the ground running. Naturally, you’ll be adept in the use of MS Office software packages, such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You’ll have the people skills to communicate sensitively with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll have some understanding of, or interest in, Teacher Training and the education sector. There is a national shortage of teachers, and we are looking for someone excited by the opportunity to support us to achieve our goal of ensuring that there are enough teachers in all schools that need them.

The South and West team is a small, growing and supportive team. We are all committed to teamwork and the goals of the entire team. This role will be required to support other aspects of the team’s work e.g. supporting the recruitment processes associated with other programmes where required. It would also be helpful if you’ve had exposure to events management, and education programme planning and/or experience in the recruitment sector.

This is a hybrid working role. A significant proportion of the work will take place on campus, however there will be opportunities for flexible working and working from home. This role will support activity across the two South and West NIoT campuses (Oasis Academy Woodview, Birmingham and The Greenway Centre, Bristol) but will primarily be linked to one site. Applicants should live within a commutable distance to one of these campuses.

Key Benefits:

·       Flexible & Hybrid working

·       At least 27 days’ holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays)

·       Local Government Pension Scheme

·       Comprehensive employee benefits including enhanced parental leave

We think a wide range of different work and educational experiences could support you to be successful in this role. We encourage applications from all backgrounds, communities and industries, and are committed to employing a team that has diverse skills, experiences and abilities.

Learning That Changes Lives

A teacher’s expertise makes a greater difference to a pupil’s success than any other factor in a school. The National Institute of Teaching exists to nurture the talents of teachers and leaders at every step of their career, whatever the context, wherever they are in the country.

About the National Institute of Teaching

The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) is run by the School-Led Development Trust, a charity, founded by four of the country’s leading school trusts: the Harris Federation, Outwood Grange Academies Trust, Oasis Community Learning and Star Academies, and supported by the Department for Education.

The Institute will boost the quality of teacher and leader development nationally by generating and interpreting research, applying the insights to the design and delivery of high-quality teacher and school leader development programmes, and sharing it all with the sector.

We are building a school-led movement, strengthening relationships and collaboration across the system.
