Role: Assistant Registrar

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (term-time plus 6 weeks)

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 full - time equivalent, based on experience

Reports to: Admissions Registrar

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Registrars to support the Schools' fantastic Admissions department. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt quickly and will possess excellent communication skills to interact with people at all levels. They will work as an integral member of the Professional Services Staff here at Elstree. 


The Assistant Registrar will be the first point of contact for prospective families and will be responsible for the exceptional end-to-end customer journey, dealing with enquiries, applications, interviews and assessments, offers and joining documentation.

What we look for:

  • Experience of customer service, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Clear empathy for and understanding of the prospective parent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage with prospective parents, parents, pupils and staff alike.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly use of databases.
  • Strong written skills, able to draft all relevant correspondence.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to use initiative and prioritise workload.
