Highfurlong School is a four times Outstanding special school academy in Blackpool, providing education for pupils aged 2-19 years with a wide range of special educational needs.
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head of School– with the main role of SENDCo . The successful candidate will play a central role in the Leadership Team, providing strategic vision and operational deliverance on all matters linked to this post and whole school leadership. The successful candidate will be a qualified SENDCo, or be willing to complete the National SENDCo (NPQ) qualification as part of their CPD.
The successful candidate will also:
- support the ethos, vision and values of our happy school
- Be the named SENCO coordinating approximately 130 EHCPs and provisions
- Be part of the Safeguarding team
- be a positive role model to the whole school community.
