We are looking for an exceptional Assistant Principal to help lead us on our journey of sustained excellence. You will be highly motivated and passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people with the natural ability to inspire and motivate both students and peers. As an outstanding teacher and leader with demonstrable leadership experience, you will make a significant contribution to the leadership and success of Global Academy.

You will contribute to the development of a strong, effective academy with an emphasis on promoting and driving rigorous academic and pastoral expectations at the Academy. These will be delivered alongside commitment to inclusive education, providing each student with life opportunities to develop skills and character qualities so that they emerge into the world as well-rounded, autonomous and, above all, respectful.

You will contribute to strategy to ensure that Global Academy is recognised as an outstanding provider of vocational and technical education in the media and entertainment industry both locally and nationally. You’ll get to work closely with some of the biggest companies in the creative industry - alongside our university partner, The University of Arts London, to help shape the future of the academy and provide opportunities for students.

We are particular keen to hear from candidates who have the experience of teaching a creative arts subject.

Why work for us:

Our vision is to practically educate our young people to be ready for life in the creative media sector, linking all education through our specialism in broadcast and digital media. By doing this, we aim to create inquisitive, confident and reflective students who can harness their creativity to progress their own well- being and that of others.

Global Academy is committed to the welfare of its staff and offers a strong CPD package which allows all staff to share ideas and best practice. Global Academy is a state-funded school based in Hayes with state of the art facilities including 2 art studios, multiple Digital computer suites, 8 radio studios, 3 TV and Visual Podcast Studios, an Esports Studio and Live Streaming suite and industry standard editing suites - allowing our students to learn the skills needed to make it in the media, advertising and broadcast industry.

We work closely with our industry connections to ensure the skills we teach are the ones companies are looking for and our students leave the academy with a network of contacts along with the ability to progress into further education or employment.

See the supporting document for further information about our unique media department at Global Academy.

This is a stimulating environment where you can work within a committed team and make a real difference to the lives of young people. For a confidential discussion, please contact James Murray-Walsh (Principal) via info@globalacademy.com
