Job overview

We are currently recruiting for an AV Manager to join our dedicated IT & Audio Visual department to ensure the effective development, operation and management of our audio visual infrastructure.

 

The AV Manager will be responsible for the specification, procurement and management of specialist audio and visual equipment (cameras, 3D printers, PA/sound equipment and lighting kits) for loan to staff and students including providing training on usage.

 

Responsibilities include:

•        Lead and manage a team of AV professionals.

•        Oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations.

•        Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.

•        Manage all aspects of the college's AV services loan devices, including specialist video and still cameras and lenses, lighting kits, PA and sound equipment, digital voice recorders and projectors.

•        Oversee the specialist printing services, including 3D and wide format printing.

•        Coordinate the loan system for home study laptops and other AV equipment to students.

•        Ensure that induction and training resources are available for students loaning equipment.

•        Manage the college digital signage estate

•        Manage the college digital video system eStream

•        Develop and implement new AV spaces, such as Teams rooms used for boardrooms and other meeting spaces.

•        Plan and set up presentation systems for college events such as conferences, staff meetings, and public events.

•        Ensure the availability and functionality of sound systems and other AV equipment during events.

Hybrid working is negotiable for this role. This means you may be able to work a proportion of your time on campus and some remotely. Education & Training

•        Degree in relevant subject or experience in a similar role

 

Experience

•        Management of an AV team in a complex environment

•        Developing and managing loan equipment processes including capacity planning and refresh cycle development

•        Providing support and training across a wide range of AV equipment types

•        Acting as technical authority for new and upcoming AV requirements

•        Providing and developing a customer focussed service and team

•        Broad knowledge of AV systems including digital stills and video equipment, lighting and sound systems
