Job overview

Curriculum Delivery:

•          Plan, prepare, and deliver a high-quality EYFS curriculum that meets the developmental needs of all children.

•          Implement and maintain an effective and engaging learning environment.

•          Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate various learning styles and needs.

•          Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of children.

 

Child Development:

•          Monitor and observe each child's progress, ensuring they meet their developmental milestones.

•          Provide individual support and guidance to children to enhance their learning experiences.

•          Identify any areas where a child may require additional support and work with the Principal for guidance and support as needed.

 

Safeguarding and Welfare:

•          Ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

•          Take responsibility for the welfare and safety of all children in your care.

•          Report any concerns regarding child protection to Principal promptly.

•          Maintain accurate records of any safeguarding concerns and actions taken.

 

Parental Engagement:

•          Provide regular updates on their child’s progress and development.

•          Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events.

 

Team Collaboration:

•          Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency in approach and sharing of best practices.

•          Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

•          Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular activities.

 

Classroom Management:

•          Establish and maintain positive behavior management strategies in line with the school’s policies.

•          Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.

•          Ensure that classroom resources are well-maintained and used effectively.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

•          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

•          Experience teaching in the EYFS stage (3 years preferred).

•          A deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.

•          Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•          A commitment to ongoing professional development.

•          Experience teaching phonics.

•          Highly organized with strong planning skills.

•          Proactive and willing to take initiative.

•          Committed to the welfare and development of every child.

 

Safeguarding

To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons for whom the EYFS Teacher is responsible, or with whom he/she encounters, and to adhere to and ensure compliance with Badminton Korea’s Safeguarding Policy at all times. If, during carrying out the duties of the post, the post-holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the school, any concerns must be reported to the school’s Principal in accordance with Badminton Korea’s policies and procedures
