Algiers is a bustling, friendly, and cosmopolitan city on the Mediterranean, full of historical interest and within easy reach of the UK and Europe. Life for teachers is pleasant with a low cost of living and good shops, cafes, and restaurants. Algeria a generally unexplored country for outsiders and would appeal to teachers who are interested in a country which is a bit different.
