The Fernwood School seeks a Caretaker with responsibility for painting and decorating to join our team of Premises staff. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our school premises, leading on the programmed decoration schedule of the school buildings. Experience of working as a Painter & Decorator is essential. A Level 2 Decorative Finishing & Industrial Painting Occupations qualification or equivalent is desirable. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining clean, safe and secure premises, general maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
The position is part of a team of four, working a rotating shift system to cover early mornings, evenings and weekends. You will need to be professional in your approach to working in a school environment, in good health due to the physical nature of some of the work and have a flexible approach.
