Job overview

Casual Exam Invigilators

£13.29 per hour, inclusive of Crawley Market Supplement and holiday pay

We are looking for organised and reliable people to join our existing team of casual Exam Invigilators. Training will take place on 18th October 2024 with first internal exams in December 2024.

Although this is a casual role, you would need to be able to commit to being available to work on a minimum of 3 days per week during the exam periods, with availability provided at least 8 weeks in advance. Shifts are allocated as and when required, on a casual, hourly paid basis and cannot be guaranteed. Morning exam shifts start from 8.00am.

As an Invigilator you will assist with the efficient administration and invigilation of internal and external examinations and will ensure that they are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements. You will, therefore, be responsible for ensuring the security of examination paperwork and preventing possible candidate malpractice. We are looking for people who by the Summer exam series will be comfortable to take responsibility for running an exam hall.

You must have a good understanding of the importance of teamwork and the ability to follow examination procedures and enforce regulations. You must also have effective communication skills and be able to give instructions clearly.

Previous experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential, as a full support network and training programme will be available for the successful candidates.

You will also be required to attend training throughout the year to keep up to date with new procedures and regulations.

Hazelwick School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and communicates a clear framework to employees. Safeguarding is a key aspect of every role and all staff must have read and be fully aware of the Child Protection Policy. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services Check
