Job overview
We are looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our catering team for 10 hours per week (Monday – Friday 12:45 to 14:45) on a fixed term basis from 6 January 2025 - 18 July 2025, term time only.
We are a large secondary school with busy service times; therefore, speed and duty of care are essential. The ability to work well with staff and pupils is an important requirement of the job as well as being able to work on your own and as being part of a team. The post will involve general help in the kitchen with priorities being cleaning and washing up.
Some experience of working in a similar environment would be useful and Food HygieneLevel 2 qualification is desirable although training will be given if required.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and Occupational Health Clearance.
