Maternity cover, up to 12 months duration

40 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Qualified Teacher salary = £29,466.34 - £40,633.37 per annum

 In this role you will be ensuring the pupils of Grace Garden School engage in learning and achieve by providing practical, experiential and therapeutic education through careful planning of the structure, methodology and delivery of the learning experience.

 You will apply your knowledge about learning and the modes of learning to plan and deliver aspects of the Steiner Waldorf Curriculum within the assessment framework of the National Curriculum in addition to their subject area.

 You will ensure that students develop basic skills in numeracy, literacy, ICT and in the Core Learning Skills, together with social skills and will provide opportunities for students to practice and develop these skills, assessing their progress in accordance with the School’s assessment schedule and Curriculum Policy.

 You will have Qualified Teacher Status, experience of the National Curriculum framework of assessment, excellent communication and organisational skills and a practical approach to engaging age pupils. You will also have experience of working with children with learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities. Experience within specialist education and the Steiner Waldorf Curriculum are also desirable.

 Grace Garden School is a specialist Steiner school located on an 18-acre smallholding on the outskirts of Bristol, offering a range of outdoor learning activities in practical land and craft work to support the education and development of children and young people. Grace Garden School is part of Ruskin Mill Trust.
