The Directors of St Cuthbert’s RC Academy Trust are looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our Trust team based at St Mary Queen of Martyrs VC Academy. This position is permanent and the candidate would be teaching in Key Stage 1 – in our Year 1 class.

We are keen to find a committed and motivated individual to contribute to excellent standards of teaching and learning. This is an ideal opportunity for ambitious and exceptional classroom practitioners who have the skills to develop and inspire the children in their care.

We require someone who:

  • Has a passion for teaching and learning that is seen through high-quality, creative classroom teaching and pupil engagement.
  • Leads by example, inspiring others with their high expectations, and a tangible belief that all children can meet their full potential.
  • Has EYFS experience and can support with EYFS to Year 1 transition
  • Is an advocate of positive behaviour management and understands the value of building relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Has a strong understanding of SEND and has a passion for inclusivity in the classroom
  • Forms positive, professional relationships with families and wider stakeholders.
  • Thrives as part of a team, with excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence and a good sense of humor.
  • Is willing to uphold our Catholic ethos and be an example of God’s love in our school and our community.
