Job overview

The Governing Body of Broughton Hall Catholic High School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well organised person with the ability to supervise classes of KS3 and KS4 pupils in the absence of the class teacher.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to both adults and students whilst adopting a flexible approach to work. Induction, support and training will be offered to the successful candidate.

Duties to include:-

  • Supervising students in the classroom and ensure good order and discipline are maintained
  • Supervising pre-prepared activities and self-directed learning in the short-term planned/ unplanned absence of teachers to provide continuity of learning for students
  • Promoting high standards of behaviour, using rewards and sanctions where appropriate

Induction, support and training will be offered to the successful candidate.

Broughton Hall Catholic High School is a Voluntary Aided School catering for girls aged 11-18 years. Boys are admitted to the Sixth Form at 16+. There is shared provision and a strong collaboration between Broughton Hall and Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School. Broughton Hall was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928 and throughout its history has maintained its Mercy Ethos and Charism.
