About this role:

Would you like to work at a school recently rated  “Good” and on it’s way to “Outstanding”?

Wardle Academy seeks to appoint a well-organised, proactive Cover Supervisor to join our school community and make a real difference to the children who attend our school.

Wardle Academy  is part of the Watergrove Trust.  The Trust is situated in the West Pennine area, where community and faith schools work in partnership to serve our diverse local area.  We share the same drive and determination to promote the best possible academic standards, whilst developing young people of unique character, preparing them for their lives ahead.

Wardle Academy is located in a semi-rural setting serving the local community. The Academy is easily accessible, within close proximity to the M62 motorway and Smithy Bridge train station.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute in supporting our students and helping them to achieve their potential. Experience of supporting young people in a similar role would be advantageous although appropriate training would be made available for the right person.

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate who is considering going into teaching or who is seeking a career in education; however we welcome applications from anyone who believes they can fulfil the job description and, therefore, make a positive difference to children’s lives.

Wardle Academy was inspected by Ofsted in October 2022 and judged to be good in all aspects. We are determined to carry on improving. An essential part of this is the training and development of staff; we encourage our colleagues to seek courses and opportunities which will help them advance the Academy whilst also providing them with enhanced skills, knowledge and career prospects.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A passionate advocate and role model of the Wardle Way
  • Somebody who thrives on responsibility and hard work, and wants to develop themselves in the role
  • Able to use your own initiative
  • Willing to go the ‘extra mile’ for our young people

Why work for the Watergrove Trust and Wardle Academy? We can offer:

●         The chance to contribute towards our transformational ethos

●         Excellent CPD focused on an outstanding curriculum experience

●         Wonderful students who enjoy learning

●         A friendly and welcoming community

●         The opportunity to work with highly committed and enthusiastic staff & a very supportive Senior Leadership Team

●        Excellent facilities

●        Cycle scheme
