Job overview

The Cardinal Hume Academies Trust brings together Catholic schools that collectively embrace the teachings of Christ, with prayer, worship and witness to faith, at their centre. The vision is for safe, orderly, and well-disciplined environments, facilitating the spiritual and holistic growth of pupils and staff. There are three constituent mixed Trust schools with Sixth Forms, Bishop Douglass in Barnet, St George’s in Westminster, and St Thomas More in Haringey.  However, the Trust is in operational charge of two other schools, St Edward’s Primary in Lisson Grove and Salvatorian College (11-16 boys) in Harrow.

The Directors of the Trust are supporting the appointment of a secondary Deputy Headteacher who is willing to work across the CHAT schools and supported schools. We are looking to appoint a candidate willing to support the Catholic ethos of our schools, with senior management experience (i.e. at Assistant Headteacher level), especially in STEM subjects or with a STEM background and particular expertise in teaching and learning. The position is for September 2025 with interviews planned for February.

A job description and personal specification is available upon request.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post will be subject to clearance of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
