The Role 

Director of Music 

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Music to join our College in August 2025. 

This is a rare opportunity for an outstanding musician and educator to lead a dynamic Music programme where passion, expertise and creativity are at the forefront. We are looking for someone with the drive and commitment to elevate our Music department to new heights, inspiring students, colleagues, and the wider community through extraordinary musical performances and celebrations.  

As the Director of Music, you will lead a talented faculty of dedicated professionals in a College where Music is a cornerstone of our educational experience. You will be supported by three experienced and dedicated Heads of Music in each School of the College, who guide curriculum and academic development while collaborating on performances. Together, you will create a vibrant and forward-thinking Music programme that continues to excel. 

The successful candidate will be a passionate and collaborative leader, ready to set the tone and inspire excellence across the department. Your ability to lead by example, along with your commitment to pastoral care and extra-curricular activities, will be essential as you become an integral part of our College community.

In DUCKS, the child progresses from the Early Years Foundation Stage to an enriched version of the English National Curriculum (ENC), which continues into Junior School.  Senior School starts in Year 7, and from there onwards, students experience specialist teaching that provides a stimulating and challenging learning experience. The IGCSE programme is uniquely taught for three years from Years 9 to 11, while Years 12 and 13 follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
