Job overview
We are a successful selective Academy Trust school and are seeking a DT Technician to join an enthusiastic and dynamic design department.
You will provide specialist technical and administrative support, practical assistance and advice to teaching staff and students as well as ensuring the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment.
The post holder will be the line manager to the Food Technician, providing them with supervision, organising workloads, training and development.
This is a term- time only role, 37 hours per week, plus inset days.

About Poole Grammar School
Located in the coastal town of Poole, Dorset, Poole Grammar School is a boys’ grammar school. Founded in 1903, the school has existed on its current site since 1966, converting to academy status in 2012. The school maintains a close relationship with the local girls’ grammar school, Parkstone Grammar, with a small amount of shared lessons occurring between the two of them. Poole Grammar School has around 1200 pupils, 300 of whom reside in the school’s sixth form, making it larger than the average secondary school. Although the vast majority of teaching takes place on-site, a very small number of students do make use of external provision.

As a selective institution, Poole Grammar School sets a high academic standard for entry. Potential students are expected to pass multiple exams across a broad range of subjects, including mathematics and reading comprehension.
