Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons using the fully resourced curriculum, supported by a visualiser in every classroom to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Foster a culture of Respect, Resilience, and Responsibility both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Be passionate about creating a positive impact on students' academic journey.

Woodlands Community College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a community state school within the Southampton Education Authority.  A secondary school with places for 900 students between the ages of 11-16, currently oversubscribed with 905 students currently on roll.

The school was opened by then-minister for schools David Miliband in 2003.
