Our mission is to ‘inspire learners and change lives’ – and that includes our staff. We want to empower our teams so pupils are ready to be kind, confident and impactful world citizens. To help us, we wish to appoint an Invigilator/Reader/Scribe to support our Exams Department.

Hours of Work: By negotiation during November, December, January, April,  May, June and July  and other times throughout the year the school requires. Exam invigilators/readers/scribes would be required to be available to attend both AM and PM sessions.

Purpose of role:

To ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) awarding body and Academy instructions; to play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination/assessment process; to implement pupils’ access arrangements by either reading and/or scribing for pupils during the examinations.

About The Brittons Academy

The Brittons Academy is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational, non-selective secondary academy for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Rainham in Essex and there are 690 pupils on its roll.

The school is made up of four houses named after well-known authorities in their subject: Bobby Moore (sports and science), Vivienne Westwood (mathematics and technology), William Shakespeare (communication) and Nelson Mandela (social science).
