Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to further your career in finance, whilst developing new skills and gaining valuable experience at the heart of a dynamic multi academy trust.

As a Finance Officer, you will work with the New Collaborative Learning Trust's Finance team to provide a comprehensive range of financial support, administration and advice across the Trust. You will also provide close support to the Trust Finance Manager on higher level financial tasks, including management account preparation and quality control of financial data.

You will have, or be willing to work towards, a finance qualification (e.g. AAT). You will need strong numeracy skills, excellent attention to detail and a comprehensive knowledge of monthly financial administration and integrated financial accounting systems. You will be willing to work flexibly within the team and have strong organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of financial and accounting policy and regulations such as VAT and HMRC is essential.

In return, NCLT will support you in the advancement of your finance career, by providing funded CPD (such as the AAT qualifications) and the opportunity for progression as the role develops.

You will be joining a dynamic, core team that supports the operations of all of the schools and colleges within our Trust. Our shared services are here to support all of our schools and colleges across several areas including Health and Safety, Finance, Estates, HR and MIS. Having recently moved into this site you will enjoy its new facilities and fantastic transport links being situated just off the M62. With a real team ethos, the different departments work together to provide ongoing support for the growth and development of the Trust.
