Food & Nutrition Technician

We are seeking a calm and organised Technician to join our Food and Nutrition department. Key responsibilities include ordering ingredients, setting up practical lessons, monitoring equipment and resources and maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment.

This is a busy role and the successful candidate will need to have excellent time management and organisational skills. Experience of working with food either professionally or domestically, an awareness of food safety and the ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure are all important qualities. Additionally, you will be a good listener, empathetic and motivated to work with children and young people to support their development and progress.

Hours: This is a part-time role working 14 hours per week over 2 days (Thursday and Friday) during term time.

Salary: £6,653 per annum (£12.00 per hour)

The school offers membership of a competitive contributory pension scheme which includes employer contributions of 10% and death in service benefit.

Additional Benefits: Lunch is provided. Free onsite parking, use of the school gym and heated swimming pool (at designated times) and access to free fitness classes are all included.

Starting date: As soon as possible allowing for completion of pre-employment checks
