Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to gain key catering and hospitality skills and experience within St Edward's busy Catering Department. 

Our Catering Department manages a varied event calendar which includes charity balls, boarding house dinners, fine dining and catering for sports and summer schools. 

You will prepare counters for service, serve food and will assist in the plate wash facility, helping to provide an efficient and comprehensive service. You will also carry out other general duties, including cleaning. 

Previous experience of working in a catering role is desirable, but not essential. We will also provide Level 2 Food Safety Hygiene training to successful applicants.

You will need good verbal communication skills, along with a basic understanding of relevant Health and Safety principles.

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, any five days from seven. The role works during the School holidays as well as during term time and working hours will include weekdays, weekends and evenings, according to the Department’s rota.
