An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business department for a highly motivated and inspirational GCSE maths teacher.

This is an exciting time to join Barnsley College. We have made a commitment to exceptional teaching and learning with the implementation of smaller, focus groups for our GCSE delivery. Due to growth across our provisions, we are looking for additional Teaching specialists to support with GCSE Maths delivery. We are interested in hearing from individuals that have delivered at GCSE level or higher previously, or alternatively working in industry and wanting to move into teaching.

GCSE Maths Teacher

Business

Permanent vacancy - 37 hours per week

£26,298 to 39,609 per annum

Our new GCSE Maths Teacher will provide highly effective teaching and learning which stretches and challenges students within the classroom, group settings and via one-to-one support. You will teach both 16-18 and adult learners within the department support the course leader in developing the curriculum and methods of delivery to inspire and engage our learners and contribute to the overall success rates growth and development of the department.

This role would suit a GCSE Maths Teacher that is energetic and collaborative in their approach to ensuring attendance and achievement is at its highest. As a college, we ensure our GCSE Teachers work with smaller cohorts to provide increased engagement and accessibility to help drive learner achievement. Working with students from the Business department enables you to contextualise Maths in preparation for them to progress into industry, making a real difference to their entrepreneurial aspirations.

We expect learning to be fun, engaging and challenging. Fantastic resources and state of the art facilities are available for our teaching staff to develop innovative and dynamic methods of delivery, maximising our offering and maintaining continuously high-quality results.
