Geography Teacher - Required April 2025
Contract: Full time/One year maternity cover
Pay range: MPS/UPS
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Geography to join our talented and hardworking Geography Department. This post is to cover a one year maternity leave position from April 2025. You should be highly motivated, proactive and able to support all students to achieve their potential. Our aim is to ensure pupils make the best possible progress and your teaching will be integral to this. You will be working within a very supportive department in a well-equipped Geography block, with access to Chrome books, GIS software and a variety of equipment.
Our school is highly successful and oversubscribed, with EBacc entries well above the national average, and successful results for students, whether they are disadvantaged, SEND or Gifted and Talented. We value the development of the whole child, and encourage students to take part in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Outdoor education is very popular with our students, and we usually have a large proportion of Y10 participating in the Bronze DofE award, with many progressing to the higher awards. We also run a range of trips each year, both abroad and in the UK, culminating in a popular 'activities week' at the end of the year.
Norton Hill is part of the Midsomer Norton School Partnership (MNSP), a growing Multi Academy Trust where Norton Hill has a reputation for innovation in teaching & learning.
