Job overview

A voluntary role, but hugely rewarding!

If you are a professional with a passion for education, we invite you to consider joining one of our Governing bodies or our Trust Board.

Our governance teams offer strategic guidance that includes:

  • Working with other board members to plan the school / Trust’s strategic direction.
  • Overseeing the financial performance, ensuring money is well-spent.
  • Holding the Trust Executive or school leadership to account.
  • Review policies and ensuring relevant compliance.
  • Challenging existing processes to drive school improvement

We offer:

  • the opportunity to make a real ongoing difference to learner’s lives
  • the opportunity to gain experience in a non- exec director-level position
  • the chance to make a real difference for our children and community

You will need to commit to a minimum of six meetings per year. Whilst the role of a Trustee or Governor requires drive and commitment, you’ll enjoy many professional and personal rewards, including career development opportunities and the chance to support our young people’s future.
