Location: Remote/home based with some travel when required

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

Hours: Full- time, 40 hours per week

The Aurora Group

We’re the sixth-largest provider of specialist education in the UK, supporting over 1,200 children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and employing over 1,500 staff.  We’re also proud to be a certified B Corp.

We’re currently looking for a bright Graduate to be our Junior Strategy/Research Consultant.  Working in our Strategy team you’ll play a key role in supporting well-informed strategic and commercial decision-making through research and analysis of internal and external business data.

Key Duties:

We’ve grown considerably over the last few years and have successfully opened multiple new services across the country.

The decision of where to open or acquire new services still remains a fine balance of industry insight, data driven analysis and traditional communication and relationships skills.

This is where your role fits in. We need you to assist our Strategy team by creating and maintaining a database of nationwide supply and demand for the services we provide and review potential acquisition targets. Additionally you’ll support our Business Development teams with ad hoc research and analysis as required.

This is principally a research and analysis role. We’ll arm you with the brief, the tools and the direction – you’ll gather the data, speak to the relevant people (externally and internally) and provide all the relevant analysis, information and feedback to a wide range of internal stakeholders.

This would be a great role for a confident, data-driven Graduate who’s not afraid to ask questions and deliver reports. If you have the skills for the big 4 but felt/feel that they were too corporate/limited for you; then please do get in touch*.

Unfortunately we are unable to assist candidates that require sponsorship.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent research skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • The ability to build and manipulate simple financial models
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

*We will of course welcome candidates from outside of this background but our role does have the attributes akin to an internal consultancy position

Benefits and Additional Information

Be part of our successful team and also benefit from a generous package that includes:

  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Perkbox - offering high street discounts
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Car lease scheme
  • Fully funded training and qualifications
