We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to head our Art Department. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of a high-quality, innovative curriculum across Key Stage 3, GCSE, A Level, and IB, while fostering a culture of creativity, academic excellence, and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, inclusive art curriculums that meet the standards of KS3, GCSE, A Level, and IB.
- Manage and inspire a small team of art teachers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Monitor and improve student outcomes through data analysis and targeted interventions.
- Oversee the department's budget, resources, and facilities to enhance learning experiences.
- : Promote student involvement in art beyond the classroom through exhibitions, competitions, and workshops.
- Work closely with other Heads of Department and senior leadership to ensure alignment with whole-school goals.
Person Specification:
- A strong background in Art education and a proven track record of effective teaching.
- Familiarity with the requirements of the GCSE, A Level, and IB Art curriculums.
- Previous middle management experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering creativity and nurturing talent in students.
