Head of Business Studies - September 2025

We are currently hiring an experienced Head of Business Studies & Economics for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for September 2025 start.

The School

Jumeirah College is a GEMS Premium Secondary School which delivers the National Curriculum for England, offering the full range of GCSE and A level courses. The Post: Head of Business Studies & Economics

The successful candidate will lead an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and effective. In 2024 100% of GCSE Business results were 9-4, out of which, over 39% were 9-8, Economics results were 100% 9-4 and over 51% were 9-8. At A level Business 100% of all grades were A*-C with over 55% A*/A. Economics were

94% of all grades were A*/C with over 69% A*/A.

Skills

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
• At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England.
• Experience teaching GCSE, A-Level. We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching. 
• A mindset which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
• Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
