Lambrook is a thriving independent school which is home to 630 boys and girls. The Lambrook experience combines first class teaching and superb facilities with traditional values, set in the idyllic surroundings of 52 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside.

The School comprises of a Nursery and Pre Prep for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Years 1 and 2, and a Prep School for children in Years 3 to 8. Pupils from Nursery to Year 4, attend school from Monday to Friday, with those in Years 5 to 8, taking part in a full Saturday School provision.

Lambrook offers weekly and flexi boarding for boys and girls from age 7 to 13. There is a thriving boarding community where pupils can board anything from five nights a week to one night every so often.

Following its recent ISI Inspection, Lambrook was rated ‘excellent’ in every area, which included the quality of teaching, pupils’ achievements, opportunities in Sport, Music, Performing Arts and Co-Curricular activities, as well as boarding provision and pastoral care.

Lambrook is proud of its academic excellence, a 100% pass rate for Common Entrance and a very generous spread of scholarships across all curricular areas. The School’s desire is to nurture and support the children as individuals, as they try out the many opportunities on offer during their educational journey at Lambrook. The same very much applies to the Senior Schools that pupils apply to, with the Future Schools’ process being very much about finding the right fit for each child. Lambrook sends children to over 35 different schools and the ‘best’ school is always the one where a child is going to be happy and flourish, and where their gifts will make a difference.

Lambrook provides a breadth of educational, pastoral and co-curricular experiences for each one of its children, nurturing and equipping them so that they are prepared for the next stage of their educational journey and indeed, life beyond.

With fantastic facilities, both inside and outside of the classroom; 25 metre Swimming Pool, Sports Hall, Chapel, Performing Arts Centre, Dance Studio, Art and Design & Technology workshops, science laboratories, a small farm area with animals, an Orchard, a woodland to explore, a nine-hole golf course, two Astroturfs and Hard Courts, as well as acres of beautiful grounds and endless sports pitches, Lambrook children have an idyllic setting and a wealth of opportunities available to them.

Lambrook is committed to broadening educational opportunities, widening access to the school and having an outward-looking approach in all that it does. It aims to make a difference to the lives of the children at Lambrook and those around them so that they go on to make a difference in the lives of others.

“We say that we give our pupils ‘the feathers to fly’. Along with the academic, we believe in the importance of other ‘feathers’ too, including a healthy ‘plumage’ of sport, music, drama, the creative arts, leadership programmes, expeditions with a purpose, charitable events that make a difference and so much more. Such feathers are essential in equipping children with skills such as inner confidence, learning to work in a team and valuing others, handling success as well as disappointment, building resilience, stepping out of their comfort zones, thinking outside the box, and in so doing creating ‘whole’ individuals who can influence society for the good. We know that with these feathers, our pupils will go on to take flight when they leave us and to soar into the next stage of their academic journey and indeed, their lives beyond.”
