Churchmead is a mixed, 11-18 Church of England School welcoming students of all faiths, situated on a 23-acre green belt site in the picturesque Thames side village of Datchet near Windsor in Berkshire.
We are a comparatively small secondary school in which every student is known as an individual. Our values of Courage, Compassion and Commitment are at the heart of the school. Churchmead is committed to becoming an outstanding school following our most recent inspection in which all areas were judged as good.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional Head of Geography who will work with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues throughout the department.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who can demonstrate experience of raising attainment in Geography. You will have a proven track record of success and demonstrate high aspirations for our students. You will be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is looking for the next step in your career. You will have the capacity and energy to drive improvement, to lead by example and to develop collaboration within the department. A Head of Faculty position could be available for a suitable candidate.
Our teachers contribute fully to the rich extra-curricular programme that the school provides.
To be considered for any post you will also need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Churchmead School is a mixed, non-selective, Church of England, voluntary-aided, 11-18 secondary school, situated in Datchet in Berkshire. It is a small school with 412 students on roll. Although the school does not currently have its own sixth form, it collaborates with East Berkshire College and hosts some of their courses on site.
