New Campus

We have expanded during the 2022/23 school year by adding Year 7 and also moving to a new purpose-built through-school campus.  We will eventually be an all-through international school from 3-18 years old.

About our School

Our school has always been a holistic, child-centred, emotionally-driven school with a strong focus on academic and pastoral development. This means that we focus on and develop all aspects of the child and treat each aspect with equal importance. We want our children to grow and develop their emotional, creative, social, imaginative, spiritual and physical sides as well as their academic and intellectual sides. We also instill in our children the importance of finding their own identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connection to their community, the natural world and through encouraging personal and collective responsibility.

Our motto “Small School – Big Family” perfectly encapsulates our ethos and approach. Children attend the school from Nursery to Year 9 (Currently) and we have over 100 full time staff and additional support staff mainly from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, America, and Canada. Our mix of nationalities and cultures makes us a truly international school with respect, tolerance, and appreciation of each other central to our beliefs.

Learning at Nadeen

Our learning environment, both inside and outside, enables children to learn and play creatively and purposefully – in a range of settings, from our ever-popular tree house or mud-kitchen, to our creative play area, back garden, playground and climbing areas, role play areas and play houses, and design technology area.  We also have a school farm, where we grow vegetables and keep chickens and ducks and the occasional visiting goat! We are proud of our award winning pastoral care.

We teach our children to develop a growth mindset by modelling and encouraging these five principles:

  • Embrace challenge
  • Persevere in the face of setbacks
  • Effort is the only path to mastery
  • Learn from your mistakes and from criticism
  • Be inspired by and learn from the success of others

– BQA Inspection Report 2019.

We are proud of our Awards and Accreditations as we are rated as outstanding by the Bahrain Quality Authority (BQA) as well as by the British Schools Overseas (BSO) and the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME.).  Nadeen School is a COBIS Accredited School.  We are the first school in Bahrain to be a High Performance Learning school and the first to be a Google for Education Reference school.
