About the role
As the Head of Leaning Support & SENDCo, you will work closely with the Head and colleagues in the strategic development of the School’s Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) policy and provision. Additionally, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the school’s SEND policy and coordination of special needs activity; the aim of which is to raise SEN pupil achievement and to increase staff awareness and skills to support the child with additional needs.
This is a part-time 0.6FTE, permanent position available immediately.

Who we are looking for:
As the ideal candidate you will:
- Be a well-qualified graduate with QTS or the equivalent gained through experience and knowledge of current learning support strategies .
- Have a National Certificate for SENCOs or equivalent through experience
- Be a competent user of ICT to support classroom work, pupil assessment and record-keeping.
- Possess a high level of classroom teaching skills and excellent interpersonal skills
