We are looking for a Head of Primary to start in August 2025. The successful candidate will be committed to our school’s Mission and to international education. They will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Internationally recognised teaching qualifications and ideally a Masters Degree in Education
• Significant knowledge and experience of teaching in English National Curriculum schools
• Proven successful experience in curriculum and policy development
• Previous successful experience in school leadership at a senior leadership level
• Proven strategic leadership and management skills, and a positive “can do” attitude
• The capacity to lead and nurture a growing primary school community
• A learning focused/student centered approach to teaching
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
• Experience in fostering successful relationships with students, parents, teachers and the wider community
• A commitment to continuous professional development
• A proven commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people

About Kinabalu International School
Kinabalu International School is a not-for-profit, parent owned school and is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo) and has gained an excellent reputation for delivering a high quality education for nearly 50 years. The school delivers a rigorous academic education for students aged 3 to 18, based on the English National Curriculum and the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes.
