We are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly organised and efficient Head Teacher’s PA & Office Manager to join a highly motivated and successful Administration / Finance team. The successful candidate must have experience in education and working knowledge of SIMs.net and be numerate and capable of manipulating data in spreadsheets. You will be involved with and have regular contact with students, staff and parents and must be able to remain calm in stressful situations. Often the information you will handle will be of a sensitive or confidential nature and therefore you must exercise due diligence and work with integrity at all times. A polite telephone manner and good inter-personal skills are essential. You will be expected to demonstrate exemplary customer service and be able to handle enquiries and complaints in a confidential and sensitive manner.
Main purpose of the Role
· Ensuring that the headteacher is fully supported in all aspects of their work including confidential matters.
· Assisting the school’s office, and administrative functions, as required.
· Providing first line HR admin support to the Academy
· Advising on compliance with legislation and guidance, including but not limited to DfE, data protection, Freedom of Information Act, GDPR.
Main duties and responsibilities are indicated above however other duties of an appropriate level and nature may also be required, as directed by the headteacher. Please note that the post holder may occasionally be required to work outside of normal school working hours for extended school status activities, school events, meetings and emergencies.

Emerson Park Academy is a mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11-16 years.
Since September 1999, 192 pupils have been admitted annually, in response to parental demand. The Academy can trace its roots back to 1943 when it began life as the only Grammar School in the country to be establised during World War Two. It move to its present site in 1954 and became a comprehensive school in 1973.
