Are you passionate about making a difference in children's' lives? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to support and inspire young minds? Our vibrant school community is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Three Peaks team.


As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will take on a pivotal role in the classroom, leading lessons and providing targeted support to students. You’ll collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging activities, manage classroom behavior, and assess student progress. Your efforts will help create a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Three Peaks is a Primary Academy serving families from predominately, the Stonydelph and Wilnecote areas of Tamworth. Three Peaks is part of The Creative Education Academies Trust and converted to an academy on December 1st 2014.

Our ideal candidate would:

  • support the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or for whole classes.
  • monitor pupils and assessing whole classes under an agreed system of supervision.
  • undertake the job description of a Teaching Assistant at NVQ 3 level but to a higher level of expertise and experience, able to undertake or contribute to the development of strategies and policies and able to work with greater freedom and initiative.
  • deliver whole class learning to release a class teacher for PPA or other non-contact time. 


Requirements:

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (equivalent
  • qualification) or higher
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Experience in working in a primary school.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum.
