The Governors are looking to appoint an outstanding and highly pro-active Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4) to work with our SEND students, leading on neurodiversity within our Learning Support Department.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be confident to liaise with the Head of Learning Support, the Head of Student Services, class teachers, parents and a range of external agencies. The successful candidate must also hold a HLTA Level 4 qualification or above (or equivalent) and experience of working with young people with neurodiversity. Qualifications or training relating to neurodiversity conditions are desirable. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively as part of a team and have excellent classroom skills.

You will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and a range of other recruitment checks. Prenton High School for Girls can be found in the town of Birkenhead, Merseyside. A smaller-than-average school of around 790 pupils aged 11-16, the school converted to an academy in 2011, but is not part of any multi-academy trust. Prenton High School has a diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in its student intake.
