Huish Education Services - Lead Chef/Manager based at Richard Huish College

Huish Education Services are a subsidiary company of Richard Huish Trust and provide the catering services across the Trust schools.

We are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Lead Chef/Manager to join the team based at Richard Huish College to prepare and cook high quality meals for students and staff at the College

A cooking qualification and/or experience of producing meals to a high standard in a commercial or similar environment, excellent customer service skills and an ability to work flexibly are all essential for this role.

·        Hours of work: 07:30 to 15:00 Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks per year)

·        Hourly Rate: £14.50

·        Actual Salary: £24,534pa (FTE salary £28,383pa)

·        Start date: asap

Interviews to be held week commencing 23rd September 2024.

This role would include

·        Preparing and cooking high quality meals to agreed menus

·        Producing menus, setting portion control, agreeing ingredients, costs and acceptable price margins

·        Ensuring the completion of logs for allergens, temperature, food prep, food transportation, cleaning and wastage

·        Ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen

·        Ensuring health and safety regulations and the company food hygiene procedures are always adhered to.
