Job overview

We seek an experienced HR professional to lead and manage all aspects of HR at Farleigh, in conjunction with the senior management team, as part of a small but knowledgeable, hardworking and friendly department responsible for the school’s 180 staff.

The role of the HR Manager is to manage and lead in the delivery of an effective, professional end to end HR Service to all staff, supporting all heads of department with people related matters. Provide professional and pragmatic employment law and HR advice and support to the senior management team in delivering the school strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, they will be supported and empowered to manage the school’s HR function with the support of an experienced and knowledgeable HR Assistant, and will work closely with our experienced Accounts department to process the monthly payroll and ensure all pay related matters are processed and managed in a timely and accurate manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practice with demonstrable experience as a HR generalist across the whole employee lifecycle including but not limited to; Recruitment, Contracts of Employment, Policy, Employee Relations, Performance management, Payroll and Reward and Recognition.

This is a full time positions working 37.5 hours per week all year round. Normal office hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch each. This is an onsite position, however some flexibility for the ideal candidate with regards to start and finish time. Additional hours in keeping with a Head of Department position maybe required.
