North Zealand International School is part of NGG – Nordsjællands Grundskole and Gymnasium. We have learners from Early Years up to Year 11. Currently, we teach the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC), International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), IGCSE and from 2024-2025, the IB Diploma Programme.

Job overview
North Zealand International School, a school committed to academic excellence and holistic learning, is seeking a passionate and dedicated IB DP Chemistry teacher to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for any candidate who is enthusiastic about fostering a love for Chemistry and guiding learners through the International Baccalaureate's Diploma Programme (IB DP). The successful candidate will also be expected to teach a share of the Chemistry lessons at IGCSE level and/or Environmental Systems and Societies in the Diploma Programme.
Qualifications:
- Be a fully qualified Chemistry teacher with at least 2 years of teaching experience
- A relevant degree in Chemistry or a related field
- A Masters degree in relation to the subject is highly desirable
- Experience in IMYC, MYP, IGCSE is preferred and experience teaching IB DP Chemistry at both Higher and Standard Level is highly desirable
- Have a robust knowledge, understanding and track record of improving learning
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Experience working in an international school setting is a plus
Job Role:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry instruction in accordance with the IB DP curriculum
- Develop engaging lesson plans and assessments that cater to diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices with other science teachers
- Provide regular feedback to learners and support their academic growth
- Prepare students for the IB DP examinations and ensure they meet learning objectives
