Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced IB Economics Teacher to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will bring a passion for teaching, a dedication to student development, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality instruction in Economics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective IB Economics lessons, catering to a diverse, multicultural student body.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and integrate global perspectives into the curriculum.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students, fostering both academic achievement and personal growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement intervention sessions for underperforming students.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching resources to enhance student engagement and learning.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and academic expectations.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and committees to contribute to the broader school community.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of educational best practices.

 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics or a closely related field.
• Recognized teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching the IB Economics curriculum is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in English (required).
• A team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IB Economics AI is a plus.
• Ability to foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity and encourages a love for learning.
